Physics

“I want to know how God has created this world. I’m not interested in this or that phenomenon, in the spectrum of this or that element. I want to know His thoughts; the rest are just details.”

Albert Einstein

Head of Physics: Sönke Vollmert (Vo)

Department of Physics

Starting at the 7th grade the subject Physics is taught at the AVS.

It is tried to understand natural phenomena and identify regularities in the field of physics. These regularities can help you for example to build electrical circuits, to construct stable houses and bridges, to shoot satellites into earth’s orbit and much more.

In physics classes in school you will learn to

  • perform and describe experiments,
  • recognise coherences,
  • find and adapt formulas and regularities,
  • predict things mathematically
