At the AVS you can currently choose French as a 2nd foreign language from 7th grade and as a 3rd foreign language as an elective subject from 9th grade. In the following, we, the French faculty, briefly introduce our subject. Also in a short video.<\/p>\n

The destinations of modern foreign language teaching are defined by the new subject requirements (2015). According to this framework, we organize our French lessons at the AVS and want to enable you to act in a competence-oriented<\/strong> way, which means that you have the knowledge and the ability to get along in different communication situations in a francophone country or with francophone speakers.
\nIn addition you will find the subject areas and contexts of French at the AVS in our subjects curriculum.<\/p>\n

France has influenced Germany in the most intimate way for centuries. French has thus become an important part of German culture itself. France continues to be a country of wide cultural appeal. For this reason, it is important to us to bring French culture and way of life closer to you. This includes French music, of course, and comics, for example.
